Cape Maeda is the official public park providing land access to the Blue Cave. It houses all necessary amenities, including parking, showers, and lockers.
If you enter the cave from the shore, you will start your day here. The park grounds include an observatory, the management office, and the steep stairs leading down to the water. The parking lot accommodates 180 vehicles and costs 100 JPY per hour.
Prepare for your visit by bringing 100 JPY coins and 1,000 JPY notes. The machines for lockers and showers do not accept larger bills.

This central building provides restrooms, coin lockers, and hot showers. Lockers cost 100 JPY, and a 2-minute shower is 200 JPY. Hair dryers are available for 100 JPY per 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Bring plenty of 100 JPY coins. Remember that shampoo and body soap are strictly prohibited here.

This viewing area offers sweeping panoramic views of the East China Sea and the western coastline. It is a practical place to check ocean conditions before descending. Stop here to take photos of the water before or after your swim.
10 minsSteep and slippery
A long, steep stairway leads from the top of the cliff down to the rocky shore entry point. You will use these stairs if you walk to the cave instead of taking a boat. Take your time, as the steps are often wet and slippery. Use extra caution if you are carrying heavy scuba gear.
